"De la terra al Cel" fills the chapel of La Misericòrdia with ceramics by Joan Pere Català Roig, curated by Luis Juan de Sentmenat García Ruiz as part of Biennal B.
Exhibition highlights
The show presents pieces of pared-back form that investigate clay and glaze, and treats the creative process as spiritual. It was programmed for the Diada de Mallorca and the 30th anniversary of the Nit de l'Art, alongside three further Art Palma Contemporani exhibitions.
About the artist
Català Roig has reproduced 4,000 tiles for the bell tower of the Valldemossa Charterhouse, made the mosaic for the fountain in Plaza de la Reina, and restored Lluís Castaldo's mural in Parc de la Quarantena.
