Our Mission
We built PocketMallorca because finding out what's happening on the island shouldn't require checking five Facebook groups, three tourism websites, and a handful of Instagram accounts. We wanted one place — updated daily — where residents and visitors could see today's events, this weekend's plans, and the best the island has to offer. Whether you just arrived for a week-long holiday or you've lived here for twenty years, the island always has something new to discover, and we want to make sure you never miss it.
How It Works
Every day, our automated systems pull events from dozens of local sources across Mallorca — municipal calendars in Palma, Soller, Alcudia, and Santanyi, venue websites, cultural organizations, and community submissions. Each listing is verified for accuracy using AI-assisted review, categorized into one of our fourteen event categories, and made searchable in both English and Spanish.
Community-Powered
PocketMallorca is not just a directory — it is a community tool. Anyone can submit an event through our website, and submissions are reviewed for quality and accuracy before going live. Since launching, we have listed hundreds of events across the island — from the famous Fira del Ram in Palma to intimate jazz sessions in Valldemossa courtyards. If you run a venue, organize events, or simply know about something happening on the island, we want to hear from you.
Who We Are
We are a small team of technology and design professionals based on the island. We combine deep local knowledge with modern engineering to build tools that make life in Mallorca more connected and more discoverable. PocketMallorca started as a side project to solve our own frustration with fragmented event information, and it has since grown into a platform used by thousands of residents and visitors every week.
